Why I stopped re-writing my

small business (and you

should too)...

 

 Rather than searching for ways to re-engineer your marketing model, focus on what is working already and how tiny adjustments can speed up the outcomes you are already receiving. As our founder, Stephanie Scheller, has personally experienced, this will completely change everything in your company.

Reinventing the Wheel

When Stephanie began Grow Disrupt, she was certain that she and her team would discover the ideal business structure. One that everyone just had to follow to have a perfect small business.

Since launching her business, Stephanie and her group have gained a lot of knowledge. They, now, understand that there are many variables that come into play when marketing a small company. Just because a great business model works for someone, it doesn't mean it will work for the business owner next to them.

Small Changes

What's more, Stephanie recognized that she didn't have to alter her business model, nor did the people she worked with or who attended Grow Disrupt events. These small business owners are not interested in overhauling how they manage their business. They seek the 3% to 5% shift that will allow them to keep running and expanding their businesses.

The Perfect Example:

Business Owner: Stephanie, what would you do to market my business? 

Stephanie: What are you currently doing that's generating results for your business? 

Business Owner: Well, most of our clients are coming in through word-of-mouth.

At this point in the conversation, Stephanie almost always points out that, instead of entirely re-writing business models, or marketing plans, take what’s working, and tweak it! First look for shifts in how we create those word-of-mouth referrals. Focus on minor alterations to your marketing strategy that promote your company’s current growth path.

Conclusion

Rather than focusing on how you need to restructure your business, focus on what is already working and what small changes can speed up your current outcomes.
