What Makes Our Events Different?
Exactly how do we change the game?
The Short Story?
- We build on the adhd i-os.
- We curate a Savannah Bananas Style educational experience.
- We break industry "rules."
(Like low-cost events, onsite pitches, and long days hoping for that one takeaway to make it worth it)
- We put our guests first.
Long Story?
We spent years compiling a list of what everyone hates about the Business Growth Event Industry from our experiences and other business owners, then flipped the script. Once we solidified the foundation of what makes a really good event we started changing things... So along the way we indulge our own ADHD by constantly finding new ways to keep our attendees surprised, excited, and supported!
"The swag bags are like being at the Academy Awards!" - Zahra Cruzan
What makes an event "Good"?
For an event to be worth your money, it needs to go beyond the basics of a Good Event.
But you can't do that if you don't hit the basics out of the park.

Expert and Engaging Presenters
A speaker lineup makes or breaks an event! If speakers are experts who disengage the audience, the content doesn't matter. If a speaker engages the audience and provides bad content that's equally bad. So we review hundreds of speakers every year to ensure ours have the sweet spot of Engagement and Expertise.
Unique Experiences
Change blindness hinders growth and absorbtion of content, so unique locations and experiences that keep the event fresh for attendees is imperative for a great experience. So we find different ways to keep things unique and fresh, even changing things in the room during the event!
Familiarity
Too much newness can also hinder content absorption and implementation. Meaning certain aspects of an event (clarity of agenda, theme, structure) have to give the brain something to hang on to. These are the parts of the event we leave firmly in place to ensure everyone, returning and newbies, feel comfortably familiar.
Digestable Agenda Sizes
What's the point of an event if you can't remember anything or have to choose between all your favorite sessions? Too many content options leave attendees with decision paralysis and too much content creates the "Taylor Swift Effect" where you've spent the whole day somewhere and don't recall a single thing.
Comfortable Temperatures
When the room is too cold, the body expends excess energy trying to keep warm. Too hot and there's no way to focus. So having the right temperature is essential for a learning experience: a little on the cooler side to compensate for individuals who run warm and not too cold to make sweaters obsolete for those who run cold.
Spacial Reinforcement
There is a whole branch of psychology devoted to how the space we exist in impacts our way of thinking. Drab ballrooms and giant, over-stuffed conference centers don't help the human brain retain information or think creatively. When we have the space to spread out comfortably and indulge in enjoying the area around us, everything gets better. Including learning.
Easy Sign-In
There's nothing more frustrating than paying for an event and being an hour late because there were no directions, clarity, or ease for sign-in and registration. Easy-to-follow directions for finding the registration table (all the better if it's at the very front of the only event space entrance!) and quick registration practices are an absolute must for a good event.
Awesome People
The other people in the room matter. Peer pressure is more than a teenage fad, it's a scientific principle: doing hard things is easier in a safe group. Key word, Safe! An event is only as good as the other people around you, who can make or break the experience.
Great Food (including allergy sensitivity)
Food fuels everything we do, and if an event is going to last all day there's no reason for attendees to have to go out and find their own food. Or for it to be the kind of food that's going to cause a mid-afternoon slump, sugar crash, or allergic reaction. In our opinion, even snacks should be part of the package of a good event!
"I was so shocked you took my allergy seriously... That's never happened before!" - Dr. Lila Baker, Onion and Garlic Allergies
Attendee Prioritization
If there's no response to an attendee's needs, there's no care for the attendees. How staff respond when an issue is raised (and even anticipate needs like charging stations for electronics) speaks volumes about the quality of an event. Frankly, this is a basic requirement for any industry!
